SILENSE at the ‘ECSEL in Germany’ Congress

After its first four years of H2020 over thirty initiatives and numerous experts met at the ‘ECSEL in Germany’ Congress. It took place in Dresden on 5th and 6th September 2018. This platform provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experience, analyse technology trends as well as debate the future of the European research programme beyond 2020 and the input of German partners in shaping in.

The event was opened by the Minister President of Saxony Michael Kretschmer and the Secretary of State of Federal Education and Research r. Michael Meister. The Executive Director of ECSEL Joint Undertaking Bert de Colvenaer was special speaker and highlighted the success of the 9th EU Research Framework programme, pointing out the relevance of the programme as a tool to encourage cocreation and joint research as tool of growth for Europe’s economy.

Silense was also present at the Congress with Infineon being a key partner in the event. Christian had prepared the Silense stand with a poster and promoted the project to numerous visitors by a pecha-kucha presentation. The Silense partner TU Berlin also actively participated in those days thus raising the profile of Silense.
